So, one of our dogs escaped from our backyard today... Of course it was Beau.
Yes... the big, black, intimidating Pitbull. The issue is, he looks scary to outsiders but really he's super friendly and wants to play 24/7. Beau obviously loves a good adventure, so as you can see... ain't nothing stopping him.
The white one would NEVER... that's Breezy. She's a little smaller and about a year younger. Breezy knows how good she has it and would never jeopardize her life by running away. She loves the comforts of her bed and having food & water available... aaand she's also a little scaredy cat, so there's that.
Anyway, this is the 2nd time Beau decided to disappear and have us running around the neighborhood like chickens with our heads cut off! On his first adventure, he had to be gone for almost 2 hours... Turns out he was in a neighbors backyard attempting to play with their caged dog and ended up at the park sniffing the trees.
I walked out back and Breezy's face said it all. As soon as I realized Beau was gone, the hunt was on. I left Marli at home with her uncle. Drove around the block a couple times then decided to walk to the park... where we found him before. I called up my homegirl for some assistance and shortly after, I got a call from my brother... Marli was throwing a fit. I turned around and headed back home. As I was almost to the house I looked up and there he was!
This time I found him across the street, sneaking out of the neighbors front yard. He popped out like his adventure had just begun... but as we made eye contact he instantly knew his ASS WAS GRASS.
Our dogs don't listen to me like they do their daddy LOL...
"Beau! Getcho ass over here. NOW."
He looks at me...
"BEAU. Come here."
He stares. I walk towards him.
"SIT."
He doesn't.
I rush and put the leash on him.
THANK GOD he didn't run from me.
In my eyes, Marli saved the day. Timing is everything!
